Bagpipe Tuition Edinburgh

Allan Macdonald offers bagpiping tuition to students at all levels – from beginners to advanced pupils. Lessons can be provided at his residence or online on a 1:1 basis or occasionally for small groups who are simply interested in an introductory lesson and information about the instruments ie. Great Highland Bagpipe, Small pipes, Reel/Border pipes etc.

He specialises in an unexpurgated style of pibroch that represents a much older style of performance  that would have been played in the Gaelic speaking Highlands of Scotland when the music was at its zenith in the 17thCentury. In comparison to the modern style it is much easier to learn and retain and freer and more easily understood.
